What You Need To Know About Infusing Olive Oil With CBD

You may have read our previous blog where we discussed how to use CBD in the kitchen. Well, we don't want to leave you hanging (sorry, couldn't resist!) so we'll talk about another CBD Infused Olive Oil recipe that we adore and can't wait to show you. Here, I will walk you through the steps of making your own CBD Infused Olive Oil at home, and then I will show you how to use it in a red wine vinaigrette salad dressing that will have all your friends talking for weeks. If you're thinking about experimenting in the kitchen with CBD Olive Oil but aren't sure where to begin, this recipe is a fantastic spot to do it.

How To Infuse Olive Oil With CBD On Your Own

First, go out and buy a bottle of your preferred olive oil. Since extra virgin olive oil is the purest form of olive oil, we suggested you use that. There are olive oils that are better suited for dressings and some that are better suited for cooking or frying. To maintain the CBD's health advantages, it's not recommended to heat an olive oil that's been CBD Infused Olive Oil. For this reason, a high-quality oil that can be used for dressings is a better option.

The next step is to acquire a bottle of our Natural Flavor Organic CBD Tincture from our online store. The table below might help you choose how much CBD Oil you want to put into your olive oil, as they come in three different strengths. If you are unsure of how much of the tincture to use, we recommend beginning with a 300mg tincture and preparing the 10mg recipe. If you're interested in the tincture in 600mg or 900 mg strengths, we've done the arithmetic for you.

When you've finished, pour the tincture into the olive oil and stir to blend. Since our tinctures are oil-based, they should combine well. In the test kitchen, we blended the mixture before adding the tincture, but a good whisk would also do the work.

You Can Now Enjoy Olive Oil Laced With CBD. Really Simple, Right?

Since summer will continue for at least a couple more weeks, you may likely find an abundance of seasonal produce at your neighborhood farmer's market. Perhaps you have access to fresh produce thanks to your own garden or an overzealous neighbor who has more than he or she can handle. Perfect! Let's whip up a CBD vinaigrette to drizzle over a refreshing summer salad. Prepare to have your appetite whetted: herein lies the recipe!

  • Classic Vinaigrette Dressing with Red Wine 12 cup CBD Infused Olive Oil of your choice 14 cup vinegar/Balsamic vinegar

  • Three tablespoons of balsamic or red wine vinegar.

  • It takes one tablespoon to Mustard with a Dijon flavor

  • 1-tablespoon of maple syrup or honey

  • 2 minced or pressed medium garlic cloves

  • salt to taste (about 14 teaspoon of fine sea salt)

  • Black pepper, freshly ground, to taste

Put everything into a little bowl and mix well. Use a whisk or fork to thoroughly combine the items. Experiment with different iterations until you find the right one. A touch more vinegar could be used for extra tang. Prepare and serve right away, or cover and store in the fridge for later. If the olive oil gets firm in the fridge, just let it remain at room temperature for a few minutes; it will be fine. I got 20 mg of CBD per tablespoon of olive oil from me. I put quite a little CBD Olive Oil in our salad; half a cup, or 8 TBSP. You may want to use only a quarter of a cup of dressing if you prefer a lighter coating on your salad. I was out of Dijon mustard, but a spicy brown mustard stood in admirably. Honey collected by our own bees right here on the hemp farm was also incorporated, and pink Himalayan salt was utilized because it was the most accessible option in my kitchen.

Then, I combined store-bought mixed greens with tomatoes, green bell pepper, radishes, and cucumbers from my garden to make a salad. I dressed the salad with about three to four tablespoons. I highly recommend the balsamic vinegar variety for those who enjoy fruit in their salads, especially strawberries. My hubby is really pleased with the outcomes. (Keep in mind that he prefers ranch dressing and would never pick vinaigrette if given the choice.) If you're not a major salad fan, the Urban Xtracts crew recommends fresh sourdough toast dipped in the vinaigrette as an excellent substitute. The Labor Day weekend is quickly approaching, so prepare a special dish for your guests by making a vinaigrette salad with your own CBD Infused Olive Oil. Soon, Urban Xtracts will release an CBD Infused Olive Oil that has been certified organic by the USDA. Test your hand at making your own version while you wait to try ours.
